Project Scope Definition
The project-scope definition is a detailed note on the overall high-level aspects of the project which define the scope and the boundaries of the project. It is important that such a document be prepared and signed off by both the project team and the client before starting.

A project-scope definition is a detailed statement of the scope or purview of the project. It includes the project objectives, the end-results, base-assumptions, resource constraints and a detailed note on what would comprise work in the project. This last element is the statement of work and has to be agreed upon by both the project team and the client.
