When is Individual goal Sheet template used?

Please refer to Goal-Sheets & Development plans in Individual Performance Management phase for the context of the template.

Individual goal sheet is the last level of detail, where an enterprise level strategy blue-print has finally got translated to the individual level brief on 'what, how, when and who'. This template is used after the strategic business plan is created, and its time to tell the individual on what it means for him/her.

Why is it used?

The ultimate objective of the entire Strategy Blueprint followed by Strategic Business Plan is to drive performance and successfully implement a sound strategy. An individual goal sheet is the statement to generals as well as the troops on what each of them have to do and how their actions and targets are interlinked with others.

How is it used?

Typically for leaders- after the strategic business plan is communicated, a manager will send his goal sheet to his direct reports. A direct report will make his/her own goal-sheet, and present it to the manager (and sometimes customers as well.). Manager reviews the goal sheet, and once agreed the same is signed. During or after this process the goal sheets are shared across the direct-reports working under a manager so that any duplication of responsibilities and inter-linkages are identified.
