When is Business Objectives Drill Down template used?

Please refer to Drill Down Strategy Map to Lower Levels in Strategic Business Plan phase for the context of the template.

This is the beginning point of formulating strategic business plan. We start with picking-up the business objectives in the Strategy Blueprint and split & detail the same for next one year horizon.

Why is it used?

The strategic business plan has the similar concepts of a strategy blue-print like linked objectives, measures and initiatives. This next level detail has to be more diligent on being specific and therefore the sheer data elements being handled are more intensive. The format can be of any shape, as you are drilling-down on whole lot varied inputs like sales objectives, quality objectives, initiatives.

How is it used?

Create a separate document for each objective, and after that (just like a consolidated strategy map), create a consolidated strategic business plan, by combining the individual business objectives drill-down.
