Execution as a subject in Management Education Curriculum
Though Execution is considered the weakest link in today's corporate success, the art & science of 'Making-it-Happen' is generally not taught as a discipline & subject in management institutions. After years of pain-sticking research, BIPM Institute has developed a comprehensive & modular course curriculum, which can be customized into various levels of detail, duration and contact-hours. It is supported by our entire Eco-System around this subject, which includes online body of knowledge, online learning & testing, tools & templates etc...
A practical and intense course on 'Execution-Making it Happen' provide a significant value to the students, makes a student profile more competitive and will result in faster adaptation of the real-world as students take on their careers.
The Engagement Process with the Management Schools:
Statement of Interest:
A management institution, has to take a strategic decision on if they want to include 'Execution-Making it Happen' as a core academic subject. This will include reviewing the schools focus, mission & vision. Adding a new subject and building a support system around it will be needing a fair degree of commitment on schools part.
Course-Design Workshops
We will work with school's faculty and course co-ordinators through focused course design workshops, whereby we will establish the objectives of the course on 'Execution- Making it Happen'. There are 12 core and 3 linked sections in the subject. Course Design Workshop will accomplish following outcomes:
- The Syllabus and Scope of the Course
- The sequencing and placement of the course
- The Structure of Course-Delivery
- Modules- Contact Hours
- Basis of Grading and Assessment
- Enablers of the Course-Delivery
- Promotion and Positioning of the Course
Course-Delivery Readiness
This is the implementation phase of the blue-print created in the Course Design Workshop. Typically the first two sessions will be taken by our training and teaching team. During the course of this transition period, we will be conducting 'train the faculty' sessions. There will be interim reviews done, resulting in the fine-tuning of syllabus, sequencing and content. We expect to hand-over the delivery of the course to the Institution Faculty post the completion of two end-to-end course cycles.
