Planned exit for Continued (2-3 years) UE in most cases |
Employees who are continuous under-achievers since the last 2-3 annual performance cycles need to be exited in a planned manner. This will prevent further degradation of their unit’s performance since these employees are weak links who have not shown signs of improvement even after organization’s efforts and investment into them.

This refers to a strategy of planned relieving of all those employees who have been continuously under-achieving for the last 2 or 3 years. Constant under-achievers who are not able to better their performance up to the minimum acceptable level, should not be allowed to pull down the overall organizational performance. Hence, their exit can be planned within a period of time and they can be informed of the same so that they too get enough notice. From a talent perspective too this is important that all positions which are suffering from under-performance need a replacement to optimize their value contribution. Planned exits like these need to be part of the overall management planning with HR playing the role of facilitator. |
