Employee Development- How? |
Development does not mean only class-room training. There has to be an optimum mix of the means of development to ensure that an employee achieve holistic improvement in his capability while containing the cost and time spent on development. There are three ways in which an employee can develop himself. This includes class-room training, self-learning and on-the-job development. One best-practice ballpark mix one can adopt is to have 10% of development done through class-room training, 20% through self-learning and 70% through on-the-job development.
