Integration
Unlike data Integration and BI Tools, which are complete in their own right, the DQ tools always form a part of a larger tool-group, when it comes to executing a project or to manage operations. Therefore a good and transparent integration is key.
The integration runs at various levels like:
- Ability embed data quality routines in other programs
- Calling data quality routines through SOA and web services
- Ability for a tool set to invoke DQ routines through custom exits.
- The DQ tool central management can be done through a 3rd party management console.
- The DQ tool itself be able to call off the shelf programs for doing the DQ tasks, which are not available with the tool itself.
- The DQ reports can be integrated with the publishing platform of a large tool-set.
