Business Intelligence Competency Centre- Establish Phase

This page provides a comprehensive work break-down structure for establishing a Business Intelligence Competency Centre. Many of the components will be similar to what you will do in creating an ERP (say) competency centre. The difference is in the details.

Establish Phase

Establishing BICC is the step-by-step development process that will be based on the priority and importance of BICC functions identified in Strategize phase. The BICC may start out with the most obvious task, such as providing technical support and than evolve steadily by doing complete assessment of BI projects within the company and to find ways to streamline internal business processes by consolidating them at branch and business area levels. Ultimately the BICC should aim to think in terms of users and business areas, rather than projects.
